Elizabeth Ward is a contemporary artist who creates live-form visual landscapes, using installation, concert, opera, aerial ballet, large-scale spectacle, and video performance, and employing costume as a primary visual element. Her work explores the convergence of geography, gender, animal/human synthesis, and geoscience, investigating relics of material culture that persist in defining modern society and concepts of social identity.
Ms. Ward has worked with Shuang Zhou, Nina Nastasia, Jen Shyu, Matt August, Eiko Ishioka, Bart Sher, Zhang Yimou, Pedro Almodovar, Tyne Rafaeli, Anne Bogart, Arianna Warsaw-Fan, Meta Weiss, Chris Bayes, Chen Shi-Zheng, Gonzalo Munoz, and Danieli Zambelli.
